On June 21 Post MOSTE scholars enjoyed MOSTE’s first-ever networking program with eight mentors at Children’s Hospital to learn the ins and outs of successfully entering and thriving in after-college careers. Topics ranged from dressing for success to email and communication etiquette to successful interviewing strategies. Perhaps the most popular activity was a mock networking event that required scholars to mingle among the mentors, introducing themselves and their goals while collecting valuable tips on how to pursue them. The fast-paced, two-hour program provided invaluable advice and encouragement not only to the scholars, but to mentors. Kudos to mentors Cindy Lopez and Bridget Berg for creating and leading this event.
