MOSTe December 2022 Newsletter
Dear MOSTe Family,
As we look back on 2022, I am so proud of all that our scholars have accomplished in the past twelve months. From the middle schoolers building new connections with their mentors, to the high school seniors taking huge steps toward college, to the college students preparing for careers, it’s a joy to support our students on their paths of growth and achievement.
I also salute our amazing MOSTe staff, Briseida, Naima, and Maira for going the extra miles to urge our seniors across the college application finish line! With your guidance, scholars wrote moving essays that truly reflect their strengths and values, and will help them reach their best fit schools.
We have more exciting experiences planned for 2023, including another long-distance college tour, new partnerships, the return of our weekend-long Annual Retreat, and welcoming our next cohort of Youth Ambassadors.

MOSTe in Action
WiLD Disney Lot Tour
On November 11th, Women in Legal at Disney (WiLD) hosted our MOSTe scholars for a tour of the Disney Studios lot. Students had the opportunity to learn about the many and varied career roles that contribute to the amazing work of The Walt Disney Company. A huge shout-out to WiLD for being amazing tour guides and sharing such insightful professional advice with our MOSTe scholars!
High School Highlights
Senior Writing Workshop, Part 2
Our seniors wrapped up their UC and CSU applications at our second Senior Writing Workshop. Many also submitted their FAFSA financial aid forms. Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on accomplishing these huge milestones! We look forward to hearing your good results in the New Year.
College and Alumnae News
It’s our pleasure to invite our current college students and Alumnae to attend our annual Homecoming Brunch, on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 11 am to 1pm. The event will include a career skills presentation from Sruti Bharat, Co-Founder of Future Map.
