Yellowstone's Cole Hauser to return as Rip after final season

Let it go.

Cole Hauser is ready to saddle up again in Montana after the final season of “Yellowstone,” if creator Taylor Sheridan asks him.

Although the final episodes of Season 5 have yet to be released, Hauser exclusively told the Post that he is open to reprising his role as Rip Wheeler.

“If Taylor writes it, I would definitely love to do it,” Hauser said while promoting the partnership between his coffee brand, Free Rein Coffee Companyand Walmart.

Conveniently, there are rumors that there could be a sixth season of “Yellowstone” centered on husband-and-wife duo Rip and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly).

“I love the character,” Hauser told the Post of Rip. “It’s been a pleasure to play him. There are so many different shades to him. He’s not just one thing.”

The actor said he would particularly like to return to the “Yellowstone” universe because of his admiration for his co-stars.

“I consider the whole cast to be my family,” he said. “So if Taylor were to do something and put it on my desk, I’m sure I would do it.”

Last month, it emerged that Hauser and Reilly, 47, are in talks to headline a surprise sixth season of the show. The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and Deadline confirmed the story, which was originally reported by Disk.

However, Paramount has yet to confirm the news itself. Therefore, as of now, “Yellowstone” is set to end after Season 5B, which premieres on November 10.

Teasing the upcoming six episodes, which will not feature lead star Kevin Costner, Hauser told the Post that he and Reilly “did a great job” as Rip and Beth.

“I’m excited for people to see 5B and how supportive I am of her throughout the show,” he said. “There are some beautiful scenes. Really beautiful stuff.”

Hauser also revealed how the cast and crew handled saying goodbye to the show seemingly forever when filming wrapped.

“It's definitely weird when you've worked with someone for as long as we have as a group,” said Hauser, who has starred on “Yellowstone” since the show's debut in 2018.

“The crew is a family, the cast is a family, the drivers, the transportation, the people who cook for us every day,” he continued. “So it wasn’t emotional, but it was definitely a sad moment where everyone goes their own way.”

“But I've been in this business for 35 years, and after six months of working 14 hours a day, all of a sudden it's over,” Hauser said. “So I've kind of gotten used to it.”

The “Good Will Hunting” star admitted that he doesn’t watch any of his projects when they air, including “Yellowstone.”

“I did it, I was there and I’m excited for the public to see it,” he said. “But, personally, I feel like I can mark it as done.”

Hauser's Free Rein coffee company, which launched online in October 2023, recently announced its Nationwide retail expansion with Walmart.

The Western-inspired, slow-roasted, small-batch coffee brand supports veterans, active-duty military, first responders, nurses and teachers.

“This is so important to us that we’ve been really focused on how we can make it the best it can be,” Hauser said. “All the people who have been involved over the last year to get to this point have been a terrific team. We’ve done well in our short time, but this will really bring us to the forefront of the coffee world, we hope.”

Hauser also shared how he has been able to balance his coffee business with acting in “Yellowstone.”

“They’ve come to Montana. We’re going to host another event in Montana in October,” he said. “I’ve been working really hard, to be honest, for the last four and a half months.”
