The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Mudashiru Obasa, has described Deputy Governor Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as a seasoned administrator who is passionate about the growth and development of Lagos.
Dr Obasa said this on Wednesday in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Eromosele Ebhomele, celebrating Dr Hamzat who will turn 60 on Thursday, September 19.
The President, while describing Dr Hamzat as a blessing to Lagos and Nigeria, added that the Deputy Governor had over the years demonstrated that he strongly believes in the Lagos project and that his contributions to the progress of the State cannot be underestimated.
“He is not just an experienced administrator, he is a great gentleman; he has contributed through his position and collaboration with other leaders in the state to keep Lagos a great state.
“At 60 years of age, Dr. Hamzat maintains a series of achievements that make him a perfect example of a technocrat whose commitment has brought positive results to the State.
“He is a dedicated Nigerian, a true brother and a trusted ally in the effort to make Lagos a better place,” Obasa said while highlighting the cordial relationship between Hazmat and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and their collaboration with other arms of government, which resulted in the smooth running of the State.
“I congratulate Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, a worthy friend and a committed leader in Lagos, as he turns 60. He remains a blessing to us all and we are happy to have him as our Deputy Governor of Lagos.
“Dr Hamzat is a very loyal member of the team, with fantastic knowledge and management skills, and we are always proud to have him with us.
“Your experience over the years has contributed to advancing the glory of our dear State. We thank you for having made a valuable contribution to the success achieved so far in Lagos.
“On behalf of my family, colleagues, management and staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly, I thank God for helping our Deputy Governor achieve this milestone. I also pray that God grants him more grace,” the statement added.
