New ‘death clock’ claims to be able to predict when you’ll die

I bet you’re dying to try this.

A new artificial intelligence app claims to be able to accurately determine the expiration date of your food, all in an effort to motivate users to make healthier choices and lead longer lives.

For $40 a year, those who want to be told the bad news can download the Death Clock, which will ask them a series of questions about their health and social habits, helping it predict not only a year but also the exact date of a person’s mortality, along with their current biological age.

A Death Clock app calculates mortality factors to help people make healthy changes.

It is intended to serve as a wake-up call, before it is too late to make significant changes.

“In today’s world, healthcare is often reactive – intervening only when problems arise, and often too late,” said founder Brent Franson.

Users will be informed of their biological age and offered advice on how to improve their health.

“Death Clock represents the shift towards Medicine 3.0, where people are equipped with comprehensive knowledge about their health and encouraged to proactively manage their wellbeing to enjoy longer, healthier lives,” he said.

The ghoul tool will then create a personalized “longevity plan” with suggested lifestyle changes and things worth mentioning to the person’s doctors.

Blood tests, genetic profiles and other personal health documents can also be uploaded to the app.

When tested by CNET’s Amanda Kooser, she reported that the Death Clock’s questions range from biological factors like cholesterol levels to questions about sleep and mental health, as well as how long a person sits per day.

Other questions revolve around diet, physical activity, smoking and also social life.

When Kooser intentionally bombed the questionnaire to see the worst results (perishing in 2043), he wrote: “That’s a motivation for me to continue on the right path.”
