Lady Gaga’s father Joe Germanotta supports Trump in 2024 race

The father of pop icon Lady Gaga is throwing his support behind former President Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

“I support Donald Trump. I support his policies,” Joe Germanotta said Thursday on “Fox & Friends.”

The restaurant owner’s announcement came days after the second assassination attempt on Trump, while the election remains tied.

“They are two very different people. One of them is pure and patriotic. The other one is just going to say whatever it takes to get elected. That’s basically what I hear, and I’m tired of hearing about their neighbors’ lawns,” he said.

The showdown between Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump remains a close race in the seven key states that determined the outcome of Biden’s 2020 victory over Trump and will likely determine the winner of the 2024 election.

However, a recent Fox News poll found Harris leading Trump in a head-to-head matchup by two points.

Despite a three-percentage-point shift since mid-August, Trump still retains greater favor among voters toward those they trust to handle the most important issues.

On the economy, voters favored Trump by five points over Harris.

“Six years ago, I was going to have the best year we’d ever had at Joanne before COVID. And when I say best year, it was 25% more than any other year,” Germanotta said.

Immigration and public safety are among other top election issues on which voters prefer the former president over Harris.

According to a Fox News poll, 50% of voters trust Trump to make the country safe and 54% are in favor of him on immigration.

“It’s an invasion from my perspective,” Germanotta said, referring to the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies.

“We no longer have secure borders. There is no longer legal immigration. My clientele, my clients, who used to come once a week, now come once every three weeks. They don’t come to New York City.”

The New York City restaurant owner said his decision to back the former president ultimately came down to policy, not personality.

“The real basis is that I don’t vote for the people. I mean, look at Donald, he’s aggressive. But he’s a patriot and his policies are good. They’re right for me anyway. I’m for low fuel and food prices, low interest rates, support for the police, good economy, support for the police… law and order… keeping jobs here in the United States.”
