Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reunite and attend back-to-school night together amid their divorce
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck showed a united front as they attended their children's back-to-school night together amid their divorce proceedings.
According to TMZ, the exes supported their respective children at their Los Angeles-area school on Tuesday night.
Sources close to the pair told the outlet that they were “cordial” and “getting along perfectly well.”
However, the source clarified that they are still moving forward with their divorce, but “still care about each other.”
Representatives for Lopez and Affleck did not immediately respond to Page Six's requests for comment.
Lopez, 55, shares 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck, 52, is father to Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
The “Gigli” stars put aside their differences for the sake of their blended family as they were spotted on a family outing over the weekend.
Saturday's lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel was the former couple's first appearance together since the pop star called off her marriage to the actor last month.
Paparazzi captured the duo and their children, except Violet, who is in college, heading to the luxurious hotel for lunch at the Polo Lounge.
Sources close to the couple told Page Six that the “Gone Girl” star “couldn’t keep her hands off” Lopez as they enjoyed their meal apart from their three children.
They even “held hands and kissed,” something we were told “wasn’t planned.”
“They’ve always had a lot of sexual chemistry,” a source told Page Six. “They’re still attracted to each other.”
Affleck and the “On the Floor” singer were married for two years before the latter filed for divorce in August.
Lopez cited April 26 as the date of separation and they reportedly do not have a prenuptial agreement.
Over the summer, the actress and “Good Will Hunting” star sparked split rumors when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala, which she co-hosted — without her ex-husband — in May.
The following month, the actors privately put their shared $68 million Beverly Hills mansion up for sale.
Affleck and Lopez, who tied the knot in July 2022, also spent their second wedding anniversary apart and the father of two was absent from his ex-wife's 55th birthday party that same month.
