House votes to repeal Biden administration's EPA tailpipe emissions rules
The House of Representatives on Friday narrowly voted to repeal clean vehicle rules adopted in March to reduce fleet-wide tailpipe emissions by 50% from 2026 levels by 2032.
House Republicans said the Environmental Protection Agency's final rule would effectively drive gasoline-powered vehicles out of the U.S. market. The White House said Friday that President Biden would veto the measure if it passes the Senate.
