The former president said his Democratic rival “hates” the Jewish state and warned that it could soon cease to exist
US Republican candidate Donald Trump has pledged to be a “advocate” of American Jews and warned that Israel could cease to exist if Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is allowed to win the upcoming election in November.
Speaking at the Israeli-American Council National Summit in Washington on Thursday, the Republican presidential candidate expressed concern that recent polling numbers suggest Harris, the current vice president, has a large lead among American Jewish voters.
Without specifying which poll he was referring to, Trump expressed dismay that only 40 percent of Jewish voters in the United States support him.
“That means you have 60% of the votes for someone who hates Israel.” Trump said, referring to Harris, whom he described as a “Bad democrat.” He also stated that the Democratic Party as a whole is “very bad” To Israel.
The Republican went on to claim that “Any Jewish person who votes for (Harris) or the Democratic Party should have their head examined.”
“It’s just because of the control or the Democratic curse on you. You can’t let this happen.” Trump stressed and warned that if he does not win and Harris becomes president, then “I believe that Israel will cease to exist within two to three years. It will be annihilated.”
Trump also claimed that he has not been “treated appropriately” by American Jewish voters and recalled his past achievements in US-Israel relations. “I gave them the Golan Heights, I gave them the Abraham Accords, I recognized Israel’s capital and opened the embassy in Jerusalem, and most importantly of all, I ended the Iran nuclear deal.”
“I was the best friend Israel ever had” The former president said that if he is re-elected in November, he will be the “advocate” and “protective” of American Jews and will be “the best friend they’ve ever had in the White House.”
