Scott Pianowski gives his green light, yellow light and red light plays to help you make the tough decisions about whether or not to start in Week 3.

✅ Green light

Last week's game between Detroit and Tampa Bay didn't live up to expectations, but let's move on to another Lions game and get ready for some spectacular scoring. The Cardinals look like a carnival team (fun offense, leaky defense) and the Lions' secondary still has holes. The total is set at 52.5, the highest of the week. Get exposure in this likely matchup.

Tennessee's new starter Leads the NFL in broken tacklesand Green Bay's front seven are sharing 5.1 yards per carry.

If Ja'Marr Chase doesn't get over 100 yards against Washington's awful secondary on Monday night, I'll eat my hat. I'm also interested in Cincinnati's wide receivers, health permitting.

🤔 Yellow light

He's a lock in your lineup after the Week 2 blowout, but keep expectations in check as Daniel Jones will likely struggle against a nasty Cleveland defense. Nabers is a must-start in offseason leagues, but a bust for DFS.

No one will ever shut out a fantasy star of this magnitude, but Miami's offense should be prepared with QB Skylar Thompson forced to start.

Indianapolis' offensive line has been stomped on for two straight weeks, but Swift hasn't done much (2.0 yards per carry), in part because Chicago's offensive line has struggled. Something has to give.

WR Diontae Johnson on the Raiders

Carolina's offense has been a horror show, but respectable veteran Andy Dalton should be able to provide a modest boost. I'm also open to running back Chuba Hubbard playing in deeper leagues.

He's been invisible for two weeks, but Tight ends have been destroying the ChiefsI have to give Pitts another week before I downgrade him significantly.

🛑 Red light

Gardner Minshew kept Pittman in our fantasy plans all last year, but until Anthony Richardson and Pittman demonstrate some rapport, Indy's nominal No. 1 receiver isn't an automatic choice for us.

Maybe Dowdle will eventually surpass Ezekiel Elliott in the pecking order, but Zeke still has equity at the goal line and the Ravens are allowing just 2.7 yards per carry.

Johnston's big breakout looks real, but with Justin Herbert injured and a combative Steelers defense on the schedule, expectations for Week 3 need to be lowered.
