Country music star Lainey Wilson is spit on during a concert

Lainey Wilson is proving that the show must go on even in unpleasant situations.

The Grammy Award-winning singer revealed that a person spat on her in the middle of a performance last year and the culprit was never found.

“Last year, when we were on our main tour, when we were on a club tour, someone spit on me, on stage,” Wilson said during the “Flavors of Country Nights, On Demand” Podcast“I thought about going down and finding whoever it was, but I didn’t. I just kept rolling. I just kept rolling.”

The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer brought up the spit situation when host Evan Paul talked about how Hardy embarked on a “Quit” tour inspired by a concertgoer who left him a note that read “quit.” He asked Wilson if he’s ever had anything weird done to him.

“My first thought was, ‘Why would you buy a ticket and then go spit on someone?’” Wilson said. “But then again, there are bad people in the world. They could have been drunk and done some stupid things, too.”

Wilson recalled seeing the spit in the air coming straight at her.

“It was weird. I saw it coming through the air. It was like I made eye contact with the spit and then it just landed on me and I was like, ‘I have a heart like a truck,'” he joked.

This is not the first time Wilson has suffered an unexpected incident on stage.

In July, he had a Wardrobe malfunction on stage and his pants split. He joked to the audience: “Almost all of you have a real show. A real show!”

Although she seems to take unexpected situations in public with joy, a source close to the country music star, who has toured with her, said she takes safety very seriously when on tour.

“She had a big security guard with her at all times,” the source told The Post.

Wilson moved to Nashville from a small town in Louisiana at age 19 to become a singer. Her music career didn't really take off until she appeared in “Yellowstone.” Currently, she says she'd like to star in a sitcom and lend her voice to cartoons.

In the podcast episode, she also addressed how people, obsessed with her butt, were upset after she lost weight and slimmed down.

“People are angry because it’s not as big as it used to be,” Wilson said.

She said she lost weight because she was running up and down the stage during her 90-minute tour shows.

“It’s weird, but I’ll tell you this, my fans, just like the people I’ve met along the way, are not the bad people on the Internet,” Wilson said.
