Cassie smiles with friends in first appearance since ex Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest
Cassie Ventura couldn’t keep the smile off her face in her first appearance since Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest.
The “Me & U” singer was photographed having dinner with friends in New York City on Wednesday night, two days after her ex was arrested.
The 38-year-old wore an all-black outfit, from her bucket hat to her belted T-shirt and jeans, accessorized with hoop earrings and a crossbody bag.
Cassie was also spotted hanging out with Sarah Snedeker, who is working on a documentary about Combs.
The music mogul was in an on-and-off relationship with Cassie from 2007 to 2018.
After their split, she moved on with husband Alex Fine, with whom she has a daughter, Frankie, 4, and a daughter, Sunny, 3.
The 31-year-old personal trainer stood by his wife when she made headlines for an explosive lawsuit against Combs in November 2023.
Cassie accused the rapper of rape, physical abuse and more in last year’s filing, and Combs settled with her within 24 hours.
The Bad Boy Records founder apologized to her in an Instagram video six months later. CNN obtained surveillance images of him beating Cassie in a hotel in 2016.
At the time, he issued a statement on social media: telling his followers that “domestic violence… destroyed her and turned her into someone she never thought she would become.”
Cassie added: “With a lot of hard work I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”
While he has yet to address the multiple other sexual assault allegations that have been leveled against Combs since his lawsuit, his attorney did react to raids at his Miami and Los Angeles homes in March.
Douglas Wigdor shared with Page Six his hopes that Combs would be held “accountable for his depraved conduct.”
Federal agents arrested Combs in the Big Apple on Monday night and charged him with conspiracy to commit crimes, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution the following day.
The Grammy winner’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has denied any wrongdoing and told Page Six that Combs, who has pleaded not guilty, “is eager to clear his name.”
The record producer is currently being held in Brooklyn, New York, at the Metropolitan Detention Center without bail pending his trial.
