Brewers wild party: Bob Uecker ‘urinated on himself’; Jackson Chourio’s baby stroller

The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their second straight NL Central title and third in four years Wednesday night with Jake Bauers’ single to beat the Philadelphia Phillies.

Then chaos broke out in the locker room.

After the win, the Brewers popped the corks to celebrate their division title. As manager Pat Murphy paid tribute to the legendary Bob Uecker and the team showered him with champagne, the 90-year-old announcer said, “I peed my pants.”

Meanwhile, the Brewers packed a baby stroller filled with root beer and champagne for rookie Jackson Chourio, who is just 20 years old.

Milwaukee’s win gave it the series win against Philadelphia, which is the No. 1 seed in the National League. The Brewers, led by rookie manager Murphy, are 88-64, good for third place in the NL. They are two games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers for second place.

As for rookie Chourio, the outfielder has 21 homers, 77 RBIs and 20 stolen bases, along with a .273/.328/.475 batting average. He also has a 121 OPS+ and posted a combined 12 DRS.

Chourio, the Brewers’ former star prospect, has been a mainstay of their offense, along with shortstop Willy Adames (32 homers, 109 RBIs) — who is having arguably the best season of his MLB career — and catcher William Contreras (22 homers, 90 RBIs, .469 slugging percentage). Milwaukee has needed all of them after All-Star outfielder Christian Yelich suffered a season-ending back injury in July.

The Brewers next face a four-game homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks, with Game 1 on Thursday night (7:15 p.m. ET on FOX and the FOX Sports app).
