Abuja and Port Harcourt airports receive recognition for excellence in emergency management

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and Port Harcourt International Airport in Nigeria have been recognised by Airports Council International for their exceptional dedication to emergency management and airport resilience.

Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, Tunde Moshood, in a statement on Friday during the Gala Night of the 33rd ACI Africa Annual General Assembly in Johannesburg, South Africa, said both airports were honoured with plaques.

The awards were presented by ACI Africa Secretary General Ali Tounsi and ACI Africa President Emmanuel Chaves.

“These prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of all those involved in ensuring excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, especially the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo.

“The Nigerian aviation sector can take pride in this achievement, which underlines the dedication to providing safe and efficient travel experiences,” the statement said.
