Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins returns to practice Thursday after suffering a hamstring injury

Tee Higgins will participate in Thursday’s practice, according to Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, a positive sign for the 0-2 team.

Higgins, 25, has yet to play in a game this season due to a nagging hamstring injury. He participated in Sunday’s pregame warmups before the Bengals’ 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, prompting Taylor to say things were “going in a positive direction.”

Higgins has not participated in a practice since Week 1. Taylor said Thursday that they will “see where it goes” after practice with the hope that Higgins can play Monday against the Washington Commanders.

“Tee is as simple as he is an outstanding player in this league.” Taylor said“That makes every personnel group better when he’s in it. So, him and Ja’Marr, obviously they’re two guys that get a lot of attention individually. So, when you have them on the field together, it’s certainly a good asset to have.”

After totaling at least 908 yards and six touchdowns in each of his first three NFL seasons, Higgins recorded 42 receptions for 656 yards and five touchdowns while playing in 12 games in 2023.
