Apple users are fed up with iOS 18 being a haven for cheaters

They think iOS 18 is crap.

Apple’s long-awaited iOS 18 has received apocalyptic online reviews since its debut on Monday. Many tech pundits have criticized the so-called “biggest update ever” for making it easier for unfaithful partners to cheat and also for having a broken photo feature that made them “want to vomit,” among other drawbacks.

“iOS18 is an inferior version,” one concluded. Disillusioned user on X.

When Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled the iPhone 16 operating system last week, iPhone lovers were wowed by the cutting-edge features, especially the generative artificial intelligence capabilities dubbed Apple Intelligence that enabled a smarter Siri, personalized emojis, and more.

“The change in iOS 18’s Photos app makes me want to vomit,” raged one X reviewer. Apple

However, many were wary of the new feature that allows users to lock and hide apps on their home screen. While this feature was designed to protect sensitive information, detractors feared it would allow unfaithful partners to commit adultery, with A critic of X stating“The iOS 18 update was designed by a cheater, for sure.”

“iOS 18 and the new iPhones are going to make these guys cheat like motherfuckers… this is crazy. Relationships are dead,” another raged.

“iOS 18 is trying to convert the most hardcore cheating Androids into iPhones,” joked a third.

The new photo application was also criticized, which a tagged user “One of the worst designs Apple has ever released.”

Many disliked the simplified “single view” with a huge grid of photos and a “collections” menu that allows users to browse their image collection by theme.

“The change in iOS 18’s Photos app makes me want to vomit” wrote another. “Removing blur on full screen videos, not previewing photos and videos in full screen from the start, a single page for everything that means you have to scroll endlessly… it’s just BAD.”

A third said: “The new Photos app in iOS 18 is clunky and weird. I hate it. It feels unnecessarily complicated and requires a lot of navigation to do simple things.”

Many critics also hated the much-hyped Control Center feature that allows users to customize and resize home page app icons and buttons.

Although it was ostensibly designed to give the user more creative freedom, many iPhone fans found it too complicated.

“Whoever designed the iOS 18 control center should be fired, it’s not user-friendly at all.” declared one.

Coincidentally, Apple shares fell nearly 3% on Monday after several analysts said delivery times for new iPhone 16 Pro models indicated weaker-than-expected demand.

Some technology experts attributed the lack of buzz to a delay in implementing key AI features.

“The main selling point, Apple Intelligence, is not available at launch alongside the iPhone 16,” said Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst at TF International Securities, in a blog post.
