Kings forwards part ways after heated battle

The Los Angeles Kings wanted to get heavier, tougher to play against, and generally tougher as a team.

This was one of the reasons they acquired Tanner Jeannot from the Tampa Bay Lightning on draft day and signed Warren Foegele on July 1.

These two players bring all the courage, physical strength and toughness that the team needed in attack.

That was on display on the first day of training camp, when the two forwards had to be separated after a heated battle in the corner.

Both Jeannot and Foegele appeared to be upset with each other and let their emotions run riot, shortly after Quinton Byfield came in to separate them and resume drills.

It's been said that this kind of thing happens all the time in NHL training camps. That's true, but this should be seen as a good sign for Kings fans.

Jeannot and Foegele are so passionate that they let their emotions get the best of them on the first day of training camp.

So, Kings fans, buckle up – this season should be a fun one to watch!
