Concacaf Champions Cup W schedule, standings and results: how to watch on CBS Sports, Paramount+

A new international competition officially joined the women’s soccer calendar on August 15, when the inaugural Concacaf Champions Cup W kicked off.

The tournament is modeled after the men’s tournament and is designed to capitalize on the growing attention and investment in women’s football around the world. The Concacaf W Champions Cup allows NWSL teams to test themselves against other top-tier teams in North America, while the latter will have a higher stage on which to play to measure themselves against U.S.-based teams. The competition will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, which will feature 16 teams and is scheduled for January and February 2026.

Three NWSL teams are participating in the first edition of the competition: reigning champion NJ/NY Gotham FC, 2023 Shield winner San Diego Wave, and NWSL Shield runner-up Portland Thorns. Eleven teams in total from North America are participating, including three from Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil. Two teams will battle it out for a spot in the group stage, where a total of 10 teams will be split into two groups.

The group stage will be played this fall, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals. The semifinals and final will be knockout matches next spring at a venue yet to be determined, as will the third-place match.

You can watch all the action on CBS Sports platforms including CBS Sports Network, Paramount+ and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
