Trump Jr. and RFK Jr. warn of risk of nuclear war – RT World News

US should make peace with Russia before unleashing 'Armageddon,' says son of Republican candidate and US politician

Washington should stop confusing Russian restraint with weakness and engage in direct talks with Moscow immediately, the son of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump Jr. and former Democrat Robert F. Kennedy said.

RFK Jr., nephew of President John F. Kennedy, endorsed Trump senior last month, citing the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and its potential to escalate into nuclear war as a major reason.

The United States and its allies allow Ukraine to use their weapons for long-range attacks against Russia “would put the world at greater risk of nuclear conflagration than at any time since the Cuban missile crisis,” Trump and Kennedy wrote in an op-ed published by The Hill on Tuesday.

Noble “Negotiate with Moscow to end the war in Ukraine and avoid nuclear devastation” The article argues that the United States should focus on finding a “a diplomatic solution to a war that should never have been allowed to happen,” accusing the White House of pursuing a policy that Russia has explicitly said would amount to open war.

“Some American analysts believe that Putin is lying and are in favor of exposing his deception,” Kennedy and Trump wrote. “These analysts confuse moderation with weakness. In essence, they are advocating a risky strategy.”

Noting that the United States has steadily expanded arms shipments to kyiv, from HIMARS rocket artillery and cluster munitions to Abrams tanks, F-16 fighter jets and long-range ATACMS missiles, Trump and Kennedy said each step “It brings the world closer to the brink of Armageddon.”

“Their logic seems to be that if you prod a bear five times and it doesn’t respond, it’s safe to prod it even harder a sixth time.” they said. “This strategy might be reasonable if the bear had no teeth.”

The Biden-Harris White House appears to have… “forgotten” Russia is a nuclear power and has repeatedly said it was prepared to use such weapons if it felt threatened, the authors argued.

“Imagine if Russia provided another country with missiles, training and targeting information to attack American soil. The United States would never tolerate that. Nor should we expect Russia to tolerate it.” they said.

Launching US missiles at Russia would inevitably lead to a nuclear exchange, Trump and Kennedy argued, warning that “This game of nuclear chicken has gone too far.”

There is no American interest at stake in Ukraine, they argued, calling it “unfair.” “craziness” risk nuclear war for the sake of “the neoconservative fantasy of 'full spectrum global dominance'.” Such a war would end civilization and perhaps even humanity, so de-escalating the conflict in Ukraine is an option. “more important than any of the political issues our nation debates.”

The American public must “We demand, right now, that (Vice President Kamala) Harris and President (Joe) Biden reverse their insane war agenda and open direct negotiations with Moscow,” Trump and Kennedy concluded.

Peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine collapsed in the spring of 2022, with both sides accusing each other of making unrealistic demands. Since then, the United States has insisted that a peace deal can only be on kyiv's terms and has repeatedly pledged to support and arm Ukraine to “as long as it takes.”
