Adele says she intends to “take a long break” after the end of her Las Vegas residency

(CNN) –– It may be a while before audiences hear Adele’s “Hello” again.

The Grammy winner said Saturday during her concert in Munich that once her Las Vegas residency concludes in November, she plans to take a long “break,” according to images of the show.

“I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it,” Adele said, her voice shaking. “I want to live the new life I’ve been building.”

He added that he may not be back on stage “for quite a long time.”

Adele has had an eventful few years both personally and professionally.

In 2019, Adele and Simon Konecki, with whom she has a son, announced their separation. She has been in a relationship with sports agent Rich Paul since 2021, about which the singer has not revealed anything despite speculation that they are engaged to be married.

Saturday's concert in Munich marked the end of his stay in the German capital where he played 10 shows.

In October, she is scheduled to perform the remaining 10 shows of her Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele, which began in January 2022 and will conclude on November 23.

In Munich, Adele thanked “everyone who came to any of my shows” over the past three years, during which she performed songs from her latest album “30.”

“It’s been amazing, I just need a break,” he said.

CNN has reached out to representatives for the singer for comment.

The singer has historically retreated from public life for long periods of time between album releases.

Her most recent album was released in 2021, six years after releasing her successful 2015 album “25.” Her first and second albums came out in 2008 and 2011, respectively. She had previously stepped away from performing in 2011 to undergo throat-related surgery. She also took some time off after giving birth to her son in 2012.

Adele hinted at the German broadcaster ZDF in an interview in July that he would soon retire from touring to “do other creative things, just for a while.”
