Angel Reese Talks About What She's Looking For In A New Boyfriend

It is not necessary to apply short kings.

Angel Reese is looking for love, but the WNBA star has some specific requirements for her next boyfriend, she revealed on the latest episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast.

The 22-year-old women's basketball star hosted rapper Latto and singer Mariah the Scientist. in his Thursday program as the trio delved into the topic of Reese's type of man.

The Chicago Sky forward had publicly revealed in March that she had spat with her now ex-boyfriend and Florida State point guard Cam'Ron Fletcher and was single.

Reese, who is 6'3″, said during the third episode of her podcast that her next man had to be 6'2″ or 7'1″ and she wanted him to be an NBA player.

Mariah the scientist said she would work through her contacts to get Reese a list of options.

“I don’t know many of them. I’m going to make a call,” he told Reese. “I’m going to make a call and I’m going to ask them to make a call. And then I’m going to give you a small selection.”

Reese had been in a relationship with Fletcher, publicly, since June 2023 before it ended sometime before the WNBA draft in April.

Over the summer, rumors swirled that Reese was seeing Pistons center Jalen Duren, who is 6-foot-10.

Reese also addressed what she was looking for in a partner earlier in September on her podcast when she described her love language as “quality time.”

“That's hard too because I only hang out with athletes,” she said of the challenge of finding time to spend with another athlete she could potentially date.

Reese's rookie WNBA season came to an abrupt end when she injured her wrist during a win over the Sparks earlier this month.

The LSU alum averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in her first professional season.
