Being in MOSTE has helped me so much. As a seventh grader in middle school I knew that I wanted to go to college, but I did not know exactly how to get there. Through MOSTE workshops, community service projects, and college fairs and tours I was able to learn how. I remember my homeroom teacher telling me about the program. I applied and I was accepted. My second year I was hesitant and did not apply, however they saw something in me that compelled EXPAND >

Without MOSTE I would not be where I am today. I remember going into my first MOSTE meeting back in middle school and I was completely terrified to stand up and introduce myself. I tried to make the least possible eye contact with the instructor so I wouldn’t get chosen to speak. Tears filled my eyes when I spoke to my mother, principal, and homeroom advisor requesting they take me out of the program but they all refused and advised me EXPAND >
